As per my previous post, Gimp can be a little difficult to work with because it is thicker, wider and plastic. If you are finding that you are having difficulty with these type of bracelets or you do not like the design of them, you can always try the typical friendship bracelets. Unlike gimp crafts, you do not need to take an online course to try and learn how to do these bracelets. Gimp is much more difficult, so if you aren’t very crafty or patient, I’d say give these a try!friendship bracelets!

 

To be completely honest with you, there is a lot more variety with these bracelets. You can do a lot more, and because you are using embroidery rope instead of plastic gimp, the strings are thin enough for you to incorporate beads into your bracelet as well.

I love doing friendship bracelets because they are uni-sex. It’s not too girly for your boyfriend or brother to wear, and it’s extremely cute for your best girlfriend or even your mom. They’re perfect for anyone and that is why I love them.

There are tons of sites that offer some guidelines to do these, and if all else fails you can always just braid the ropes together and it’ll still be gorgeous. There are tons of sites that you can use! I remember going to summer camp and I would wipe these up like there was nothing to it. However, 15-20 years later, I had no idea what I was trying to do – so these sites were excellent refreshers!
